Why we built this site
Booking a Corcovado tour is more complicated than it should be. The park has a strict daily visitor cap. Different entry points (Drake Bay, Puerto Jimenez, Uvita) access different stations (Sirena, San Pedrillo). Group sizes range from 6 to 30+. Prices range from $110 to $2,300. Cancellation policies are inconsistent. And most booking platforms list all of this identically, without explaining what actually changes depending on which option you choose.

This guide is edited by Marco Ureña, a Costa Rica-based naturalist and travel writer who has visited Corcovado National Park more than thirty times across both seasons. He has hiked the Sirena, San Pedrillo, Los Patos, and La Leona stations, spent nights at Sirena during jaguar-monitoring periods, and guided his own small groups through the park for seven years before transitioning to writing.
