About Corcovado National Park Tours

Corcovado National Park Tours is an independent guide to day tours, guided hikes, and wildlife experiences in Corcovado National Park on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula. We compare operators across Drake Bay, Puerto Jimenez, and Uvita so you can find the right tour for your dates, budget, and wildlife priorities — without cross-referencing a dozen booking platforms. Ready to plan? See our Corcovado National Park tours on the homepage.

Why we built this site

Booking a Corcovado tour is more complicated than it should be. The park has a strict daily visitor cap. Different entry points (Drake Bay, Puerto Jimenez, Uvita) access different stations (Sirena, San Pedrillo). Group sizes range from 6 to 30+. Prices range from $110 to $2,300. Cancellation policies are inconsistent. And most booking platforms list all of this identically, without explaining what actually changes depending on which option you choose.

We built this site to put the real comparisons in one place — which entry point gives the shortest crossing, which station has the highest tapir sighting rate, which tour has the best guide credentials, and what each price difference actually delivers.

How we choose the tours

We feature tours that meet a baseline standard:

  • Operated by guides certified by the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT)
  • A consistent track record verified across independent traveller reviews
  • Park entry permits handled by the operator — guests shouldn't need to manage this separately
  • Transparent inclusions: guide, boat, lunch, park entry, and transport where offered
  • Reasonable cancellation terms — or clear non-refundable notice where that applies

How we make money

This site is free to use. When you book through a link on this page, we may earn a small commission from GetYourGuide at no extra cost to you. This never changes the price you pay and never determines the order or rating of tours we feature.

Our comparisons reflect real review data, inclusions, guide credentials, and value — not affiliate commission rates.

About the author

This guide is edited by Marco Ureña, a Costa Rica-based naturalist and travel writer who has visited Corcovado National Park more than thirty times across both seasons. He has hiked the Sirena, San Pedrillo, Los Patos, and La Leona stations, spent nights at Sirena during jaguar-monitoring periods, and guided his own small groups through the park for seven years before transitioning to writing. Everything here is based on first-hand experience with the park and direct conversations with the operators we feature.
